.223 V.S. .308 yote hunting.

I would get a 22-250. Shoots like the .223 but better suited for varmints and longer distances. You can buy a savage for $300 bucks and I guarantee it will not disappoint in accuracy. THen save the rest of your money and get a bigger caliber.
 
.223 better varmint round, shot some coyotes while deer hunting with .30cal, thicker jacket bullet goes right through, doesn't expand on smaller game, .223 more destructive--
 
get a T/C Encore and get each bbl
good shooters single shot but i personally like singles makes you aim a bit better knowing you have 1 shot
i like the .223 for every thing up to deer
i have taken lotsa deer with my .223 using nosler 60 grain partitions
and then i use the nosler ballistics 55 gr for varmints
