Well, I think that we can all agree that as a seal rifle, the .223 WSSM has few peers.

Yeah. OK. Hey, it gives totally new meaning to the phrase "blowing a seal".

Obviously, there's going to be the old school types that favor the harpoon with a 500 grain hand-forged copper or stone tip. It must be admitted that that setup has withstood the test of time to a degree that the .223 WSSM is unlikely to equal.

I had one of these and I rebarelled it with a Lilja, some days it would shoot lights out and others not so good and it was all in the brass, I just got tired of it and sold it, to build a 22 250 AI

If you have the "need for speed", the 22-250, the 22-250 Ackley, the .220 Swift, and the .220 Ackley Swift are the way to go - better Lapua and Norma brass.

And better dies are available.

This is advice I should have taken about 2 years and 1500 bucks ago.

I had one and quickly sold. I was quite happy to get all of my money back in trade for a 22-250. To fill the niche I had in mind for the 223WSSM I went with a .243 and 65 grain V-Maxs and am quite satisfied with the results.
