I have access to a 100 yard range .I zeroed my 223 Axis with 55 grain soft points dead on at 100 yards .What should I expect to see at 200 yards for bullet drop ? 200 yards would be the maximum distance where I have access to hunt .

I. Run the numbers and its only about .4-.5 mils drop at 200yds with a 100yd zero.

Has anyone tested that Hornady calculator at bfurther distAnces?

I have an Axis 223 as well. 1" high @ 100 yds = .5" low at 200 with Rem 55 gr MC.

Note: Bullet selection will effect perform differently. Winchester 45 grain JHP shoot a bit flatter.

1" or less variation, but something to keep in mind.

How do you like your Axis? For the price point I like it, I got it for the kids, and it works great for them.
I would like a firmer platform, and a better trigger, but it will get it done.

Hornady Vmax 55 gr @ 3240 +1.4 @ 100, 0 @ 200, -7.0 @ 300.

I usually set up my bolt gun +1" at 200, but my handloads are slightly hotter. Makes holding over/under on coyote size critters pretty easy out to 300 for me.
