223AI...Pros and Cons?

Darrel Holland has a great reputation for putting together Pac Nor barrels and Remington 700 actions. I've heard nothing but good of the guns he builds. He probably knows more about working out the bugs than anybody else. No, I don't know the man but someday I hope to.

I took my Sako 223AI out this morning and killed my first two coyotes with it. The first dog came in to the caller then turned to leave. I gave him a bark and he stopped behind a clump of sage brush leaving me a hole about 8" in diameter that I could see him through. I was on shooting sticks so I fired through the hole and hit the dog in the neck killing him instantly. The shot was around 65 yards.

The second coyote surprised me by coming in from the direction where I had the truck parked then stopped dead about 40 yards from me because he saw me sitting in the brush. He took off on a dead run and I nailed him at about 75 yards with the 223AI. This was with Sierra Spitzers and they were devistating.

Yesterday I killed two coyotes with my 22-250 and another with my shotgun and pound for pound the 223AI held up it's end. I love this cartidge.
