Anyone have any load data using .224 60 Grn Nosler Partition bullets and IMR4895 powder. I came into 6 pounds of IMR4895 powder and several hundred of the .224 60 Grn Nosler Partition bullets, winchester primers. Looking to turn them into a lion / coyote load for my savage .223 predator rifle. My limited searching has turned up zero for that combo of powder and bullet. I'm looking for a safe starting work up load.

Thanks,

AP

From the Hodgdon site. Although not for the partition, it at least gives you aplace to start.
60 GR. HDY V-MAX Hodgdon H4895 .224" 2.250" 24.0 2918 37,600 CUP 26.0C 3174 50,100 CUP

I saw that, my concern was that the H4895 has a faster burn rate then the IMR4895.... But thanks, I saw the IMR listed for the 60 grn vmax on you ref site..

Thanks,

AP

That there Imr 4895 ain't no good. You better send it to me and I will pour it down my sink to save you the heartbreak of loading up some worthless bullets.

Just Kidding. 25 gr IMR 4895 and 60 grain BT is one of the most accurate loads I have ever shot. (at least in my tikka and bushmaster and rem 700, Just use REM 7 1/2 Primers instead of WLR and you are good to go.

Dave

By the way, I need a new L shaped battery for my Minaska M1 Bandit, Do you have them in stock? How much?

Dave & Dave,

(.223 load) .224 60 grn nosler partition with IMR4895 start @ 23.5gn - max 25.5gn as per Nosler #6. Cool thanks for your help!

Mousedipper, sorry no Minaska Batteries in Stock. After January 15th we expect to be getting the full line of Minaska callers in stock from Flambeau (lohman). I will tell my buyer to be sure and pick up spare batteries.

Merry Christmas!
