243 95gr Ballistic Tip

Does anyone have any fursthand experience (see what I did there?) using these on anything smaller than a deer? My Rem 600 SAC custom build loves 95gr, especially these, but I haven't shot anything besides deer with them. Where I hunt has coyote, red & grey fox, and bobcat so I kinda want to save some of the pelts. I've actually switched to 95gr Nosler Partitions for deer with this rifle and am going to try 95gr all copper loads over the summer. The BT's so far have never exited and left no more than 3 drops of blood on entry...but they've all been dead before hitting the ground due to the luxury of being able to carefully place the shot each time. That's not always the case where I hunt and the reason I usually use my 280. Anyway....

I know the 87gr VMax will drop a hog with no exit but it will tear up a possum and literally make an armadillo explode. CJ likes to shoot so if no hogs are around I turn him loose on the smaller critters.

Had plenty of exits with the 95 NBT via 243win on deer. Hard on fur when it comes to coyotes and red fox.
May I ask how far away they were? Mine have been inside of 100y and I'm curious if the high impact velocity is causing the bullet to completely fragment before exiting. 140gr Accubonds are doing the same from my 280 inside of 70y on deer, with my last one having 6 small shrapnel exits and no recoverable found inside. While the meat doesn't taste like lead, it had to go somewhere...

Don't use them anymore, but did for years on deer. Distance 50- 200 yards on average. Killed 2 caribou with same bullet and both when right on through .

I have found on most bullets that don't make it through ,no matter the brand, they are just under the hide .
At least what is left of them.

Have friends that run the 140 NAB for deer in 7-08 , 280AI and 7 RM . Having seen quit a few of their deer ,I'd guess they run about 80% on getting 2 holes.
Only shot a couple deer with my 280AI. Used 140 Berger VLD hunting . Not enough of a sample for judgement yet.

My favorite deer killer these days is a 105 Berger VLD hunting via 6x47L , they crush deer. Pretty hard on fur as well.
