I had my .243 AI done with a 1-8" twist to shoot the Hornady 105 A-Max at longer distances, and it's doing a pretty good job of that so far.
I'd like to load up some 80 grain Sierra Blitz, and some 87 grain V-Max for whacking coyotes, but I have no idea where to start. I've got a BUNCH of Nosler 70 grain Ballistic tips on the shelf too.
Has anybody shot these bullets at higher AI speeds from an 8 twist?
I don't expect any of these bullets to be fur friendly at the AI speeds. I'm actually hoping they'll be very fur un-friendly.
I like to kill 'em too dead to kick.
