243 or 6.5 creedmoore for coyotes

Very pleased with it using rounds that it seems to like.
It liked the 65 gr VMAX and 105 gr AMAX.
Didn't like the 70 gr NOS BT or 95 gr STMK.
Only one (hot!) range trip so far and loads were cherry picked, not in a ladder.

The variety of 243 rounds vs 6.5G rounds was why I stayed with 243.
Both more than adequate, and the 6.5G enjoys a current popularity trend.

If you mean that they both use bullets, powder, primers, and a centerfire case.....then yes they are similar. That's about the end of the similarities. 223 is a very capable round. However....just barely in the same universe as the 243. 6.5 Creedmoor is an awesome round but the 243 would handle your described needs nicely. Definitely more the exception than the rule, but I have seen several coyotes taken cleanly in excess of 1000 yards with a 243.
