243 win. 85 gran barnes tsx info..

You can call Barnes and mention the rifle caliber and they will e-mail you all of their load data for that cartridge using all bullet weights they sell in 243. Take a look at H-4350, Win 760 and RL-19. Good shooting!

I am using it in a 6mm. I am using IMR4350. Every load was moa at 100yds. I found out this year deer hunting that if you take a broad side shot and hit the shoulders well lets just say don't unless that's the only shot you have. those 2 shoulders were destroyed. The bullet was a complete pass thru. I actually think it might be overkill, They are tough bullets!

W760, H414, imr4320, 2700, H380, x8208, re19 work great with that bullet.
I use the above for the 80g & 85g barnes as well as hornadys 80g gmx solid.

I measure all my bullets to the lands and set back from there.
You will have to measure your own rifles COL to lands as they will be different.
The barnes in my Savage .243 are at 2.740" to 2.750" col.

44.5g of R#19 in my Rem 700 with a win primer seated .050 off the lands proved to be a 1/2" load and FAST!

39.5g of IMR 4064 with fed 210 was also a 1/2" load, 0.050 off the lands.

Now, you have to work up for your rifle! These sure do a number on deer!

We have been shooting that combo for several years in my daughters 243. IMR4831 is the powder we use, I want to say 44.5gr but I don't have the load right here at this moment. I know it is close to the max load listed in my Barnes manual. Has been an outstanding combo on deer and made a believer out of me. I was never a 243 fan prior to this rifle and load.
