.243 Win Shortage

5spd
I appreciate it. I wasn't able to make it into WY after all. I didn't make it out of Scottsbluff.

Reloading is on my winter to do list as soon as I finish a bathroom remodel.

I've noticed most stores in the greater denver metro area have 100 grain and 58 grain .243 but verly little 60-80 grain varmint/predator stuff. I have three boxes of the 70 grain nosler bt federal vshock that you were wanting.

I was at cabelas just the other day and they didn't have a single round of .243 or 22-250

My guess is because of rifle season and coyote hunters...

plenty of .223 though!

+1 to Danny-L

Trying to get .243 around here is pathetic... Even our Bass Pro only has/had 1 box of 95SST Superformance. You guys out west have all the luck...bullets, loading supplies, places to shoot past 500yds... jeesh ...

Happy New Year ...

Not much 243 to be found around here either. I have a nice new Tikka just waiting for me to feed it but I cant find any food.

The only .243 I saw at the local scheel's was 55gr Winchester ballistic tip. There was only 3 boxes of that on the shelf. Lots of 223 on the shelves now. But a lot of that is marked 5.56 and is FMJ. Probably over runs on military contracts? I would like to buy some more 243 win brass but I have not seen any of that for a long time. At least around Lincoln/ Omaha it is not on the shelves of any store I have been to.
