25-06 for varmints

Mine, too. The 85 gr. Nosler is going to vaporize a
large portion of a ground hog. If you want to fertilize
the field with ground hog chunks, this bullet is a good
candidate. I wish I would have taken pictures of a feral
cat, and a couple of tree chewing rabbits I shot with my
25-06. It gives red mist new meaning.

Try the Hornady 75 gr. on groundhogs; they are accurate and cheaper than the boutique bullets. Sierra has some nice lighter weight bullets (87 and 90 grains?) for it, too, that work well.

MRP (Norma) is an overlooked powder for the 25/06 with light bullets; it works super in my Ruger 77 in 25/06 w/ lighter bullets, especially the 75 grain loads.

My 257AI load is 87TNT's at 25-06 velocity. Doing 3650-3700 that bullet will turn rockchucks into messy gutpile carnage, sometimes you can't tell what it was to begin with.
