25 STW AKA 25 Hot Tamale

I've used the 85 Nosler for deer with nothing not hitting the dirt ever, and I know all the "expert"s don't say to use the Ballistic tip, but it works... I'm trying the Barnes 80 grain tipped because I would be worried shooting "tougher" game than deer with the nosler.
It is a fun cartridge if you're into speed. Nosler does give you some "Bloodshot" meat, but not much waste in the ribs anyways, and kinda nice not having a blood trail you have to follow...just remember where he was standing when you shot!

I tried 80 gr.TTSX's this year in my 25-06 AI. Excellent accuracy! Pushing them at 3900 FPS they performed great on a couple of big does this year. Both were double shoulder shots and in each case the bullet exitted and the does belly flopped.

My only concern is how they will perform on a standard, thru the ribs, double lung shot. I have some concerns as to how well they will open up. I had intended to make that shot on my second doe, but I guess my brain went on auto pilot and I made my standard shoulder shot.

I would be interested to here from anyone who has made shots with these that didn't encounter much bone.
