My dip tank is rubber maid tubs from walmart...I have a 30" long one that is 10" deep and an 16" long one that is 12" deep. Both on clearance for under $10 each.

Oh and one other thing, tape off the threads on anything you dip that has them....this stuff is tough to get off once it drys and the threaded areas suck to cleanup afterward.....it will make re-assembly much faster.

Looks good. Did you use etching primer for the metal parts? I did mine awhile back and if you used the regular primer on metal parts it wont last as long

Your dip job looks absolutely great.

I have found etching primer is for bare metal, I did not sand/scuff this down to bare metal. I used an adhesion promoter, then a quality primer, then the base color and then I dipped it. We will see but when putting the barrel nut on and timing it I was man handling the upper receiver roughly as I had dip on the threads. None came off but I did bake it on also.

Yes, go slow and dip once you see the film take off after putting the activator on it. The worst that can happen is you re-prep it and redo it.

Brian Enos forum, there is machinist that makes them. He currently has them in stock but they will not last long then it will be months until another run

A couple of other things....coffee cup & AR 20rd mag. Same dip pattern but different base coats. You can change the camo by simply altering the base color.

Thanks for the tutorial! Will be testing this out on small stuff before attacking the 930 and ARs, heck maybe the handguns... Lol

I'm not familiar with adhesion promoter? Is applied prior to the base coat?

May try the Lauer Duraseal for the finish.

Thank you
