I think I remember reading in Rifleshooter a while back that Savage is chambering them in their 12LPR. IIRC they tested the the 6.5 Creedmor though, but still performed well.
You can still get Rugers on gun broker. Extra. Best of the lot IMO.aSadly like many of the best rounds they chambered rifles for they don't currently make one. . They do chamber the 6.5 Creedmoor. It is ballisticslly the same or at least velocity wise it is.
savage has the .260 in a number of models. I have the lwh in .260, very light and great carry rifle. Very much a drt rifle.
I also have a tactical built off of a 110 flat back action that has no problem making one hole groups at 100-200yds, but comes in at 12lbs, a little to heavy for carry for me.
coyote grimmreaper: My girlfriend recently purchased a Savage 10 Predator, in 260 Rem. It is a very nice rifle, & shoots great! She has shot several groups well under 3/4" with it. All around seems like a very nice rifle! Idaho-45-5R
I shoot a .260 in my Encore and my son uses my Savage .260. Both very accurate and pleasant to shoot. You'll love it in any of the rifles that others have mentioned. Savage continues to be one of the most accurate out-of-the-box rifles made.
