That's about where I'm at too, one of the 4350's for 165 grain on up, 4895 with 150 and lighter bullets. There are other powders near that burn range that would also be great.

IMR-4350 and the .30-06 is about like PB & J. There are all sorts of powders that work remarkably well in the 06' but if a .30-06 won't shoot well with 57 - 58 grs. of IMR-4350 and a quality 165 gr. bullet it's an unlucky stupid rifle. Sell it immediately and get yourself a healthy normal one.

What type of rifle are you loading for; bolt, semi-auto? With my garand I can't tell the difference between IMR -4064 or one of the 4895's.

Yep, the bee's knees! For you Garand shooters out there, 47 gr. H4895 behind a 168 gr. SMK duplicates M72 Match ammo and better accuracy due to better bullet. Same load behind 150 gr. MK = M2 ball.

Regards,
hm

I've been using H 4831 for a long time, I load it with Magnum primers. I load 165 gr BT's and 200 gr Partitions for my old Model 70 Winchester. At a hundred yards both are grouping within a inch of each other so I never have to zero for the different bullets.

Imr 4350 57gr Winchester primer ,nosler 165gr ballistic tip green not combined tech produces. 5 inch groups at 200yrd.I have used this in 5 different guns its my go to load.cci can be used but adds .25 to the grouping at 200yrds.
