300 Blackout scope options

We are running a Vortex Razor GEN II 1-6X24...
great glass, and since we are keeping our rounds subsonic, we don't plan on engaging anything beyond a 100yds...
I know its over your budget by a few hundred but I would seriously take a hard look into it...
here is our set up.

Or, follow the link, you'll get a decent pic of the MOD-1 if you scroll down a bit!!!

I put a Nikon Prostaff 5 2.5-10x40mm, it was $200 with free shipping from Amazon. Great glass and finger adjustable turrets, can't be beat IMHO.

More than enough for the 300 Black Out.

Thanks for the input guys. Have either of you used any trijicon products. I was thinking about trying the 3x30 acog with the 300 BLK reticle. Any thoughts?

I had the EoTech XPS 2-2 and was fine for what the BO is. If I remember correctly, my 110gr supers zeroed at 100 yds on the top dot had the 220 subs were really close on the second dot, +/- an inch. Considering the size of target and range the cartridge is designed for, I felt that magnification wasn't really all that necessary. I traded my last 300 BO upper and just finished another build and am trying to figure out if I want to go back to the same optic or maybe something like Skinny has. Maybe another PST 1-4 or an Aimpoint.

Good to know. I am new to the BO at this point and am not sure I will even like it as there isn't much I can hunt with it in Indiana. But I am kind of an impulse buyer and happened to see it and thought it would be fun to suppress.

got the leup. AR 1-4x20 with spr ret. With my super loads, dead nutz at 50. First hash dead nutz at 50 with subs. At 100 if I recall, about 1" low with supers and dead nutz with second with subs. Would have to look at my data but the hashes really follow suit.

You might check out a Sig CP4 scope. I happened to see it at their website and since a fixed 4x is just right behind my FLIR T70 thermal clip on I decided to try one.

I have run about 100 rounds thru a new Sig 716 Patrol (.308) with this scope and I am very satisfied so far. I will get some grief because it is made in China but the scope is submersion rated at 5 meters for 30 minutes and nitrogen purged so that gave me a little more confidence in the construction. I plan to use it hunting a few times and if I am still satisfied I will probably order another one for my 300 BLK.

I can tell you the scope feels heavy duty and I really like the illuminated reticle since most of my hunting is at night. I personally think the magnification is closer to 5x than 4x if that matters to you.

BTW.....I tried a 4x ACOG and ended up sending it back but you may like one. I did not like the fact that the ACOG scope has no diopter adjustment.

They can be found on the web for approx $225 if you shop around.
