300 ren saum

anyone have an load data for a 300 rem saum? just picked a model seven last night.. i was wanting to shoot 150 or 165 in it.

I think the SAUM is a fine round. I see barely used guns for sale at good prices. I went with the 300wsm, & the remington 300 saum seems to have lost the race as a production rifle. As a handloader, if I was to buy today I wouldn't have a problem with the saum version.

I use H-4350 with 165 & 180 grn bullets in my 300wsm. The only other I have loaded was some light loads with H-4895 & 150 grn bullets. Depending on your powder at hand, company web sites should have tested data to try out.

Both of my Hornady loading books have data for the SAUM in .300.

My Dad has one and I load 150 grain Core Lokts in it and he is deadly on deer with it. If you load any heavier it gets unfun real fast..that is light little rifle and it kicks pretty good with heavier bullets. It shoots great..I shot under an inch group with it the other day... I had changed scopes and was resighting..you will like it. RObbie

I have tried a few powders but H414 performs very well for me.

H4350 is what I loaded 165-180 grain accubonds in my Sendero. Shot very well with both bullets!
