Looking for a little comparison shoping here. Do I go ahead and get the XCR for the extra money or have people been happy with the savage. I'm really at a standstill. Both have their pros and cons. The XCR is the better rifle but for the price I just don't know.

I've also been looking at the Tikka T3 Lite Stainless but just seems a little to lite for that caliber of gun.

Little help /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I love my .270 win XCR!!! I was hjesitant to spend the extra mony, but it was worth it. They now have a new trigger, X-Mark Pro. It is easily adjustabel. I have the 2006 model that has a crisp light pull at 4 lbs from Remington. It by far my favorite gun. With the R3 recoil pad, it takes some of the "kick" of of the gun. I have an older Browning .270. It kicks a lot more than the XCR.

You will not regret the XCR and its cost.

Lots of good guns on the market now-a-days. Have you went someplace that stocks all three and picked them up and shoulderd them?

I'm biased cause most of my rifles are Remingtons, but the Savages and Tikka's both are shooting some nice groups right out of the box.

Pick them up fondle them, put them to your shoulder. Shoot a friends if you can. One of them will say this is the gun for me.
