LONEHOWL

Custom Call Maker
Someone was asking...yes have done it. From Solidworks created file to printer.
Good for prototyping to mold imo but unless something has come along that builds a completely solid part all the way thru, its not real good for call parts....again imo. A high resolution printer needed.
It is fun no doubt. You could go from file straight to cnc or whatever if you want as well.

OP: why solid fill ?
my slicer parameter can be set to 100% infill, which I've done.
Or are you saying that the inherent layering of 3DP is at fault ?
I've made a couple 3DP penny/Irish whistle flutes (Bb and A4) that sound fine.

Ive not seen a solid part...at least what I call solid. This was several years ago and like I say maybe its way better now? I would hope so. Most parts Ive seen were sort of honey combed inside....layering.
A solid part gives the volume and sharpness needed imo...a partially hollow or honey combed part like a toneboard sounds flat or dead.
