My other scope just screwed up. Would this be a good scope for my. 243? Would it be good for shooting out to 300 yards? It would be the v-plex reticule. Thanks,

I bought the 3.5-10x50 Diamondback on sale a couple of months ago, mounted it on my Model 70, and haven't had any issues with it yet. Pretty decent scope for under $200. The Viper HS scopes seem to get really good reviews, but will set you back a couple hundred more.

I've had this scope on my 222remmag since about March last year, but I've got the BDC reticle. Nice scope for the money, clear and bright, tracks well. I have not noticed a short eye relief that Sage Rat referenced.

I think the Diamondback is the best value in a scope for it's price range. I have had the 3.5-10X50 for a couple of years mounted on my 222 rem mag. Good field of view and good clarity.
I like the BDC over the plex.

Me too. I have the Diamondback 3.5x10x50mm on a 6.8SPC AR and it's banged around for a year with no problems. Best warranty anyway. The 6.8 does not have enough recoil to worry about the eye relief and neither should a .243
