# 4 Buckshot for WI coyotes

Can anyone tell me what shot size restrictions there are for hunting coyotes in Wisconsin.

Can I use my # 4 buckshot there?

Here you go:

It is illegal to:

possess while hunting, shot, or shotshells loaded with shot larger than No. BB
(including buckshot) from June 1–Dec. 13 except:
1. Non-toxic shot size BBB and T may be used for hunting waterfowl.
2. Shot larger than BB may be possessed and used for the purpose of hunting bobcat.

BB is plenty big enough usually.

I am pretty sure Les Johnson uses copper plated BB.

Why not try some hevi shot size B smaller than BB and will do a fine job on your WI coyotes.

I use 12 ga 3"00 buck 15 pellet win load. rem 870 mod choke.40 yard max ,use it for nite calling,never had one get back up. most kill shots 25-30 yds, make sure u pattern,not all choke/guns are the same.

Where can you get copper plated BBs? I have tried Cabelas, Bass Pro Shop and every web site I can think of. I can't find them.
