40cal handgun choices

If you can handle the recoil, a Glock 24 is their sub compact, but I didn't like the one I had...

My personal favorite is my Walther p99 in a .40...

Little better control due to the larger grip and better sight picture for me...

I have had alot of different 40 cals.
No I only carry a Karh cw 40.
Nice and small for carring under your cloths.
They shoot very well also.
Now for a 9mm the ruger lc9 with laser is the ticket, thats what my wife carries.

Quote:I think you mean Glock 27...You are correct,,,My bad...I divested myself of Glocks several years ago and only kept my old five digit serial number 17....Memory is getting old...

Kahr is a great gun, thin and light. The glock is always a good bet for a reliable carry piece. Glock is thicker than the kahr series. CM or CW by kahr is more affordable than the PM series, but same reliability. If you can the best bet is to go to a range and shoot em all side by side. The m&p shield might be a good bet too, I have heard a lot of good things about them, though I am not sure they make it in a .40 cal yet.

I carry a Glock 27 off duty. The Kahr PM40 & CM40 series are very easy to conceal and are lighter and thinner than the Glock 27. Got a friend with a PM40 that is on its way back to Kahr for the 3rd time. It malfunctions about every 3rd shot, with several different experienced shooters. I'm waiting to see how Kahr takes care of him before I add one to my collection.

I have shot several small 40's, and I would have to say that my M&P40 Shield, is by far a very nice small compact 40 that shoots real good with very manageable recoil.

CZ 2075 Rami. (aluminum not polymer one) I have one right now and use it daily. Only problem is its a bit to small for me and I'm moving up in size to a compact from a sub compact.

Just got a call from my LGS and my second M&P40 Shield came in this morning. I ordered 2 of these guns back in the first part of June, and paid for them to go to the top of there waiting list. My first one came in after Thanksgiving, man I never thought I would have to wait this long for this gun when I placed the order.
