40mm sun shade?

I think the objective lens threads may be different from one make of scope to another; Leupold 40mm would be different from Nikon 40mm as an example.
I'd try Nikon for a sun shade.

My 40mm Nikon sunshade fits all my Nikon buck master scopes.
Sorry to ba off topic but will the bee's wax looking scope glare hider screw on to a 40mm buck master?

Zack,
I do not make metal sun shades. Sorry. I only make neoprene ones, I was just giving you another option. The ones I make are much more convient that a metal shade..

Thank you,
Jeremiah

In a pinch, anybody with a lathe and the ability to cut matching threads (metric I'll bet, which requires a metric gear set in the lathe), could build you one out of aluminum tube. Then you would need to get it anodized (you could do that at home fairly simply).
You would have more invested than buying one (unless the guy builds it for free), but it's not any tough job if you have the tools. I could build that in under an hour, if I had access to a metric lathe.

Just sayin, if you can't find one for sale.

Call Bushnell's customer service and the lady can give you the name and phone # of a guy who makes metal sunshades. They refer all customers wanting shades for scopes that aren't available to him.

I have several sunshades for several scopes...personally I think they are way overrated. I have spent considerable time chasing down sunsahdes only to decide they are in the way more often than they are practical.

The Metal Sun shades are Expensive & sometimes,? Do not even fit on right etc.? And most of the time they are either ' out of Stock' or on BO,? etc.? I am going to order & try the one from BoondockerOutdoors.? If its good I will order more for my other Scopes,? That I cannot find any shades for at all.?
