41 or 44

I've always heard that cats are a soft target. Though I've got a 44 and would carry a 44, It's hitting the target under pressure that's more important. If you can do that with a 357, 41 or 44, then any of these rounds will do the job.
 
If you accept that the 41 and 44 are about the same as for ballistics, then ammo cost, availability, and resale value should determine your choice.

I bought my first 44 mag 40 years ago and it still puts 6 shots in 6 inches at 100 yards with iron sights, with an elbow rest.

It cost me 3 weeks pay at the time.

I agree. Why I even compare the 30-06 to the types of handles I've used for my Handi-man Jack /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
