B BEACON New member Oct 23, 2007 #21 I have used Hornady 240 XTP's in my Marlin 1894 with good accuracy. I worked up a load with W296 that gave me 1845 f.p.s., and a load with H110 that gave me 1737 f.p.s. The 265 gr. soft points mentioned are made by Hornady. Hope this helps.
