For the range of a .44 rifle I find lower magnification scopes are a better fit....lower magnification also works better on a lower quality optic than high power...it allows more light in.

Ive got a broken banner from a few years ago. I got the dusk and dawn slug scope and shot a deer with it and the back glass almost fell out and the scope wouldn't track after that. I emailed and called bushnell and got no response so got mad and threw it in the safe and went right to the store for a Nikon. I emailed them the other day again to see if they would fix it and actually got a response saying send it in. going to get a flat rate box Friday and send it.

Bushnell Banner Circle-X Got this one on my Ruger 96/44 For about 10 yrs now. No plans on taking it off.
