45 raptor

Think of it as a rimless 460 S&W, you can use 460 dies with a 308 shellholder, mostly chambered in AR10's.
There's also a 45vrap same case loaded to lower pressure for use in AR15's
 
im building one in a bolt action with a 24 inch barrel
was just curious if anyone here reloads it and their opinion on the ftx bullet
 
I thought about building one but went with a 450 Bushmaster instead, 24" 22 twist it should be done this week
I don't have any experience with the .452 ftx bullets yet but I have taken a couple of deer with the 325gr 458 FTX in my 45-70 around 2100fps very devasting turned the chest cavity into Jello and dropped a nice 8 point with a broadside shot no exit, and a couple of does same thing

i hear the 45 raptor will push a 250 grain ftx .452 at 2850 fps out of a 24 inch barrel with a 1:20 twist..
im pretty pumped to see what this caliber is capable of doing
