Buster and I were at it early today, and the first coyote shot was a real heavyweight for a desert coyote!
He weighed in at 48 pounds!
The scales have a washer type indicator that shows the weight of the coyote. Weighed him twice just to be sure. Same weight both times.
He looks like he's been laying out in the sun and is bloated up, but these pics were made right after he was shot this morning in cool weather.
What's the biggest/heaviest coyote you guys get? Down in the desert here, a big coyote will go a tad over 30 pounds, and in the mountains a really big coyote will tip the scales at 40 pounds...
A 48 pounder in the flats is unheard of.
Feel free to post pics of your "big boys"...(I know you eastern hunters have some bigger ones to show.)
