Going to try and work up a load with this powder in my 22-250 Tikka T3. Anyone got experience with it or suggestions?

Yes Sir. 35.0gr with a 55gr. v-max in a 24" tube is 3745 fps. 3 out of five shot duplicated on the chrono. Much promise in my gun.

CV32:

I have used the 52 gr. Speer HP for years in my 22/250 with about 34 grains of IMR 4064 w/ great results. It's an excellent bullet both for accuracy and terminal effect.

haven't tried 8208 as I had a lot of 4064 and it worked great...

Thanks, Buckeye, I appreciate the reply. I have been using IMR 4064 as my "go to" powder for the 22-250, but I was hoping that the temperature insensitive 8208 might be a useful replacement if it showed any promise in that bullet combo. I guess a trip to the range is in order.

I got 52 gr bergers and rl15 to work in my tlika t3 lite. Still working on seating debt but I think I will stay with this combo if it groups out to 300 TSS. I had no luck with hrdy or Sierra bullets and I tried target and h380

I tried the 52gr speer hp in my savage mod 10 pred with IMR 8208 XBR but wasn't as accurate as I wanted - but IMR 4007 SSC proved to be very accurate with the speer 52gr hp. IMR 8208 XBR with the Nosler 40gr BT was very accurate in the mod 10 pred.

I used the speer 52 for about 12 yrs, then switched to the 55 Vmax when they came out.

The speer was excellent at 150 yrds using 36gr of RL15, but really sucked big time at 300. But, that probably was the gun and not the bullet fault.
