6.5x47 lapua ?

Hi Lads, any one shooting the 6.5x47 lapua ?
I have been reading very good reports so far about this cartridge. I am planing a semi custom rifle built on a savage action, PacNor 1-8 twist barrel for shooting bullets from 120 up-to 140gr. It will be a deer rifle firstly but i want to be able to shoot ranges also.

The extra cost of a Krieger barrel would be money well spent in a custom 6.5, I do like the 6.5X284 better for long range shooting.

That rebated rim on the 284 based calibers does seem to be a slight bit more accurate.

My friend is shooting the 6.5x284 by the way his barrel is wearing its a bit scary. I was hoping that the x47 would be a better option on barrel life.

The 6.5x47 looks like a neat little cartridge with great barrel life. Maybe I will try it someday.
