6 x 45 16 inch barrel velocity?

varminter .223

I ordered one today and I will most likely be shooting 58 Vmax bullets. I hear that 2200 is a good powder. Does anyone know what kind of velocities I can expect and what other powders might be good.

Nope, my 3 16” barrels with a max load of Benchmark nets 2850fps. That’s 2ARs and 1bolt. Bolt get 50fps more. A little faster with H322 but close enough I went with the more accurate load which was the Benchmark load.

Because up until it was SAAMI'd a few years ago it was a wildcat with no support. It is now SAAMI and no support. Back then there were bigger cases and no one wanted s small capacity round. It got jumped over in all the new cartridge offerings and will probably never get much traction. It will run side by side with the new 24 Nosler but I bet you don't see that in a gun rag.

Nope. Just run .223 brass through a 6x45 sizing die and that's it.

27.6 grains of 2200 runs a 55 bt right at 3310. Brass looks great. Getting some right and left but it is awful windy today.
