the guy even aims with one hand at first, but then he decides to use the other one. he definitely could use 5 or 6 more hands!!

I have actually held this gun in my hand. It was made by David Van Horn in AZ. It was returned to him for a check up after the guy in the video let it go flying.
He as received an order for another one from someone who saw the video!

One of my recent students was part owner of Century Arms when they went bankrupt. They made .45-70 and .50-110 revolvers. Jeff claimed that they were pretty easy to shoot, a lot of lift, but not too much recoil. He claimed his 12 year old daughter could shoot the .45-70, no problem.

I ran a custom packaging store in Cheyenne,Wy years ago. One of my customers made .50 BMG bolt action, single shot, rifle/pistol sets. I made the boxes and shipped 25-30 sets for him, mostly to NFL players.

He had a promo video of him shooting the pistol. He held on to it, but his arms were waaaay behind his head, and it pushed him (300lbs +) back a step. It also destroyed a 55gal drum of water. He offered to let me shoot it, but after watching the video, I declined. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Hand cannons can be a real kick. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My 45-70 is easy to shoot with certian loads. The 405 gr. remington express are mild and a 12 year old girl could shoot a few rounds but it would get uncomfortable after that. Your palm gets hammered a touch. Those are leaving the barrel at 900 fps. The recoil is more like a shove than a punch.
I had to send mine back to the factory under warranty because they drilled the front sight off center so I have'nt seen it in a week. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif
I went through a learning curve with it and will have to reload hotter rounds because of a little thing called "Time of Dwell". When I first tried to sight it in off sand bags, it was printing 16" high. I adjusted the rear all the way down and it was still shooting 12" high.
This looked like real trouble, along with the front sight installed off center I was in a tizzy. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif
A guy on another website with the same revolver explained my problem to me. If you ever buy a handcannon you mite remember this. I had a chance to prove the theory before I sent my gun out.
"Time of Dwell" is the period between when the hammer drops and the bullet leaves the barrel. You may have heard of such a thing but with these handguns it becomes fact of life. With a 400 gr. bullet at 900 fps the recoil is underway when the hammer drops which raises the barrel before the bullet is out and prints a target wayyyy high even at 20 yards.
Right now I'm working on a fixture to hold the gun and strap it down to sight it in. Reloading rounds to 1800 fps. to get the bullet out of the barrel faster. No 12 year old girl will want to fire these rounds.
To prove the theory, this gentelman had me stand and shoot off hand, sure enought he was right. I put the sight back were it was, about mid-way and I was shooting on target.
He said when he hunts he'll rest an elbow on somthing to get a clean shot. When I get the gun back I'll have a lot of practicing to do. happy hunting, Joe
