100% agree

I've had or have
6X45
6BR
6BRX
6X47L
243Win
6mmAI

Each have their own place, but the 6BR is still my favorite all around chambering. And they can be made to feed just fine with minor tinkering.

Just got off the phone with my smith. He's going to start on it Monday! Going to be a 6 Creed and probably going to have him flute it while he's at it.

The 6/6.5 Creed is more or less an improved version of the 243 with its 30degree shoulder and with Lapua, as well as others, making good brass it will be a natural choice for many. It's just kind of one of those cartridges that doesn't everything well and there really isn't anything to not like about it.

But, if I had an inkling I may want to shoot the heavy for caliber bullets and really stretch the distances out there, I'd give a lot of thought to a 6-284. I have one built on a SA Rem 700 w/26in Lilja and it's probably one of, if not, favorite guns I own.

I dropped off my action and the new barrel at the gun smith's Monday morning. I also got my brass and dies last week so it won't be long now. The reamer is a min. spec, no turn neck. Just a tad tighter tolerance than SAMMI. The barrel will finish at 24" and .710 at the crown. I figured he may as well flute it while I'm at it and it wasn't a whole lot more money. It will be going in a Stocky's long range composite stock and use a Bushnell Forge 2.5x15 for optics. As of now, I'm not sure what I'm going to feed it. Something between 75 and 90 grain bullets I suppose.

Best 6mm bullet made IMO. The consistency of Berger’s is only matched by customs.

Don’t shoot anything you want to save the fur on though. That’s one wicked bullet on groundhogs to yotes, lots of carnage. Puts stuff down hard though and flys to the target great. I’ve shot a lot of stuff with them running them 3100-3150 out of numerous 243 barrels. The majority of PRS shooters who shoot 6mm (about half) shoot them too, lots running them from 6 creeds at the same speeds. H4350 or H4831SC both work great. Seat them .020” off the lands, find your load, and send it.

I'm excited aboutit. He ask if I was in a hurry for it. I said tomorrow would be nice. LOL Hetold me he wasn't swamped and he might have it ready by the week-end. I paid him up front, that seems to always help speed things up.

I agree with.. everyone should have at least one 6br....if not consider a 6SLR...brass is cheap, easy to form, feeds easily, super accurate capable cartridge...it's what the 243 should have been.

Good choice. I just re-barreled my 6x47 lapua to a 6 creed. I have about 180 rounds through it and do not regret the switch. I made the switch juist for more options in brass. Went from a krieger to a bartlien 1 in 8.25-7.5 gain twist, left hand rifling.
Get your self some factory hornady for break in and some brass from alpha. The alpha brass is very very nice! They actually sent me a 6.5 brass by mistake and sent me handwritten card and hat, plus let me keep the 6.6 brass. Great customer service. I hear the Peterson and ADG brass is very good, as well.

6 Creedmoor or 6 Dasher. I just got pics from my smith, he just finished 4 Bartlein blanks for me, 2 each for 2 rifles - 2 each 6 creed AND 6 Dasher.
