6mm PPC Upper?

Does anybody have a 6mm PPC upper? I'm intrested in trying one but, I've read that the design of the case makes it a hard round to load automatically. I like the bullet weights and speeds. If you have seen one could you let me know how it worked for you?

I believe the problem with the 6ppc was the mags. Now that there are 6.8 mags and Grendel mags they should feed better. I was always intersted in the 6ppc myself but heard of too many feed issues so I just dropped the idea.
I would be curios in this info myself. My guess is Mike Milli will have some input on this subject.

Or you could go here. http://www.6mmar.com/

Sounds like it would be a bit better setup.

Will the 6 PPC shells feed better through a 6.8 spc mag?

Ridge Runner- I saw it there, thats what got me wondering.

I used to build quite a few of the 6 PPC uppers. In fact, I still have some barrels around if any of you guys are interested. "I'll make you a deal you can't understand" LOL!

Some day, Mike at Dtech will ship my 6X45 and that will be my version of a 6PPC with cheaper brass. (Mike, if you read this, hint, hint...)

Yep, I'm going to have to look up your paper-work and see where you are. I am working between 50 and 60 standing orders, and I'm having problems with people "falling through the cracks".

Dtech is going to build me a 6BR, but he doesn't have the mags that will work for it yet. I would rather shoot it single shot anyway. I will mostly be shooting it at 600 yd. matches at our local range.

Mike - I'm in VA - sent you my lower some time ago after you called and said the upper and bolt was ready to headspace. Hate to communicate on here but I never get answers when I send regular email.

can't you make 6mm PPC brass out of 7.62x39 brass ?

Yes you can, this would be the cheepest way, I am not sure if the neck would need to be turned.

well it takes special form dies to make ppc brass from 7.62x39, however you can make it easily from the parent case the 220 russian, this brass is available from lapua.
Some tight necked br rifles require neck turning but don't think AR's chambered in 6 PPC are tight necked, I don't turn the necks in my 6 ppc mini-30.
