6mm Remington load help

Just picked up a 6mm Remington and I was wondering if anyone here has any load help.

I'm planning on using Hornady 87 grain and Hornady 105 gr bullets. I have a fee pounds of 4064 that I want to use. I don't have a store that sells any powder nearby so I was just wanting to use that 4064.

I also have some Varget too.

Thanks for any advice....

The IMR-4064 or the Varget will work with the 87 grain, or lighter bullets, but you will need to try IMR-4350 with both those weight bullets when you can find some.

x2.
4064 will work fine but once you run out get some 4350 of Hodgdons or IMR, you will gain a bunch of velocity and I would almost bet better accuracy. Another powder I run in my 6mm with 85 grain pills is Hybrid 100V, top velocity and shoots as good as the 4350, also runs through a powder dump like water.

Toying with H414 and 80's right now and having good results but think 4350 will be just as good. A good rule of thumb for both 6mm and 243 is 80 grains and under run 4064 and 85 on up run a 4350 of some flavor, works well for my rifles and several others.
