7.62x39 subs

My mind is just running here. Since 300bo supers and 7.62x39 are similar, I was wondering if anyone has tried reloading the 7.62x39 with heavies and run them subsonic for use with a can?
Why? Because I have an AR in 7.62x39 as well as one in 300bo and I'd like to run a can on both with subs if its do-able. But I'm not wanting to be the one to be the Guinea pig.

I'm sure it can be done, but I think you're gonna run into issues with bullet availability. Unless you're running .308 diameter bullets in your 7.62x39, you're gonna need to find those heavy bullets in .310-.312 diameter, which is gonna be your biggest challenge. Russia actually started playing around with the suppressed/subsonic cartridge concept back in the 1980's, and they came up with the 9x39mm. You might check into that, if you're really interested in going the subsonic route.

He already has the AK round in an AR, makes sense to stick with AK diameter.
303 British, and 7.7mm Japanese have 0.312 projectiles over 170 gn.
Try a full load of TrailBoss then slowly work down till its subsonic, no big deal.
Be aware that the slower they go, the more likely one may stick in the barrel.
The AK/AR may stop cycling before you get subsonic & the pills may not stabilize - but that's part of the fun in experimenting.
It will drop like a subsonic 22LR, but you already knew that....

Right, again, like a 22LR sub.
