If you mean me, I have not ran any of those loads over the chrony, weather has been crap all winter but will probably get to it once the weather turns nice as they are going to be my new pdog loads.

At 3700fps your bullet of .824 in a 14 twist has a Sg of .798 Not too stable, however

Your .818 bullet at 3700fps in a 14 twist has a Sg of .814 Not too stable either.

Give it a shot. They may work for you. The numbers say no, but field application is what counts.
 
Just as a note..... It would seem that at my elevation of 6400'

I have an effective twist gain of 1.5- 1.6 inch

Not in terms of bullet spin, but in terms of bullet stability. A 1-14 twist here would be very close to a 1-12.4 at 900' elevation, in terms of the bullet stability. A 1-9 twist here is like a 1-7.5 twist at around 1000' elevation.
 
not to hijack the thread but these are the targets from load work.



I have targets from another rifle but cant find them at the moment. These were shot from 100yds and I have not done any further testing so there is a chance they might start to open up at a distance but they shoot pretty dang good at 100 so we will see.

To the OP, I would say give those 70s a bit of a chance, especially if you already have them on hand.

Midwest, if a bullet is stable when it leaves your barrel, then it will be stable for the remainder of it's flight. Bullets tend to get more stable (not necessarily more accurate) as they travel down range.

If they are working use em'
 
I finaly got tired of wondering , so I started loading. Frist get the max load of IMR 4350,that was 44grs (got hard bolt lift).I was shootingat 50yds just to get the max load and you could see all the bullets went in straight.So I went down one grain and loaded 3 rounds ,shot at 100yds and got a 1/2"group .Loaded 9 more and shot a 5/8" a 7/8" and a 1/2".Now I'm happy.Thank yall.
