80 yard sight-in question

Tony, it isn't based upon barrel length, but rather muzzle velocity. Barrel length doesn't have anything to do with the trajectory.....once the bullet leaves the barrel, it's gone. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Velocity can be a product of barrel length, but the velocity is the determining factor in this equation.

Just use the calculator I posted and fill in the blanks.

The ballistic coefficient is .197 for the SP bullet in the Black Hills ammo. The Sierra Infinity program has about every manufacturer and bullet already loaded into it, so it was just a matter of pulling it out of their database. It is a pretty cool software program.
