Anyone ran the 80s in a 223? I am building a 7.7twist 223 and am having trouble finding 75GR AMAX, which is what I originally had planned on using. There are plenty of 80s in stock however. Curious if anyone has used them, if so what kind of results. Also, what barrel?

Those 80's have been out of stock for over a year. I have shot them in my 8 twist Criterion on my Savage at 300, 500, 600 and 1,000. They are better than the 75's in my gun. I use between 24 and 25.5 gr. Varget depending on the purpose. That's pretty high for 80 gr. so work up in your gun. You will never get them in a detachable mag.
