Well, NH is offically under water. They declared a state of emergancy and closed everything down in my area. It really doesn't look too bad here, the river is high, but the streets are clear. Our schools, post office, and government buildings are all shut down though. A lot of the roads and bridges in the surrounding towns are closed, or gone due to the high water. We got about 9 1/2 inches of rain over the weekend, and they expect 3 more today. Now I know what Noah felt like /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Some of the pictures on the news are pretty amazing. Glad I live on high ground.

Hate to hear it Al, keep your powder dry as they say.

The midwest has been getting alot of rain since Friday but not as much as you guys have.

Stay safe up your way /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Hey Al, if you get tired of it feel free to send some my way! Where I'm at were setting records with our drought. I guess I should pray to the rain gods. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif

Good golly.

It's rained all weekend here in Iowa and only stopped this morning. I don't know how much we got, but probably nothing like you guys received. I hope all is well.

Didn't this happen to you up there, sometime last year as well?

Take care...Tony

Yeah it happened about this time last year too. They just found the body of one guy who was missing from that one about three weeks ago.

This time, no loss of life but lots of property damage in some of the small towns.

This site, our local news station has some interesting pictures http://www.wmur.com/index.html

I got luck, my house is on high ground and the basement is bone dry. My shop is in the loft over the garage so all that is dry too.

I think next year this time, I will build a few boats and try to sell them /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here it has been raining for 3 weeks we have had 4-5 days in the last 3 weeks that we could pour curb and most of this week looks grim as well we havent gotten 9 1/2 inches but it has been steady for 3 weeks and counting.

Wow Al, that is a lot of rain for your area I would say.
We got 7 inches 2 years ago from Hurricane Ivan and there was mass destruction in my area. Stay safe.

Al,

Dont feel alone! We got more than our share here in the Hudson Valley too. Enough is enough. I was hopeing for rain a couple weeks ago, guess I better watch what I ask for. The new areas of lawn I planted were gettin real partched, now there under a lake. My concrete contractor was scheduled to do the pour around my pool this week but that aint happening. Hopefully this pesky front will go on and get so we can get back to our routine soon.

Glad to here your not running pumps in your cellar, /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif Dave
