He figured the hamburgered hand was punishment enough. I'd have tossed him a butter knife and said you have 5 minutes till I call the police.

Thats a clean saw cut..I took nineteen in the hand from a saw last year. the itching is the worst part, that should set in in about a week or so.

I too use super glue for small cuts, but have found it won't hold if there is too much blood. I went out and bought a package of Quikclot for major cuts.

You may be refering to celox or Quikclot both of which are (I believe) being used by the military:

They now have it in a bandage form:

This is why I don't like going out in the sticks alone. Im not saying that I dont ever, or I wont, I just prefer to have a buddy carry my leg if it happens to fall off. I think I will also invest in a nice first aid kit very soon as well. The one I have is kinda hokey. I think I am gonna see if I can get some EMS grade stuff. Anyone know any good places to buy this kinda thing?

Glad you're ok btw. It coulda been alot worse and I'll bet this don't ever happen to you again.

Powdered Alum [the kind used in pickling] will stop bleeding. I'm on blood thinners and a scratch bleeds like crazy, and that is what I use.

Looks like that knee has been cut before. That is the very reason I will only let my wife use the chain saw. I'd cut myself for sure.

Keep after them

I didn't think there were supposed to be any graphic pictures on PM posts!
