I know a few folks were curious to see how the pup is coming along so figured I would post some pictures. He still hasn't been in front of many coyotes, but he is doing well on stand and out in the woods.

He came from Dasher's Cooper and Ida litter last summer. He is litter mate to Gavyn's dog as well as Knockemdown's. I hope to get some more fur for him here soon. I have had a pretty slow year so far.

We need to meet half way and see if we can get some in.
Yeah, I should have left the guys behind and brought him instead.
I have been making it up to him though. We have been out 3 times since the hunt. Let me know if you are headed this way, or get that decoy dog hunt together...hint, hint.... and I will see what I can do.
HPW, does your boy have a big ol' mouth on him, too?
Cause Pokey can sure make a racket!
watch this video
Pokey was 6mos old at the time. I had just killed a coyote, so layed a drag out for Pokey to run. After he found it, I let him play some in the driveway. Well, his bawlin' got a pack of coyotes cranked up across the hill from the house!!!
It went on so long that I got a little video rollin' on the pocket camera. You can hear the coyotes howlin' in the background and Pokey crankin' back off at 'em...
This went on for a good 2 minutes before I got the camera going!
Went out on sunday and saw 7 coyotes but nothing was closer than about a half mile. And no intrest in the calls. She did pretty good. Her prey drive is starting to come on. On one stand I was sitting on hillside looking out over a basin and she was somewhere behind me where I couldn't see her. Pretty soon I see a jack rabbit around the hill to my right about 400 yds away running wide open with her about 10 yards behind. She chased that rabbit for well over a half mile before finally giving it up.
We got Pokey's 1st official one under his belt yesterday!
There was at least one more coyote coming, but this big male was about to throw down with the pup, so I dropped it. My inexperience definitely cost me on that one, but we'll get it figured out. I just didn't want an all out brawl on his 1st interaction...
Poke acted real well! He is just too much fun!
Treeing squirrels in the park in the morning...
