A Few Thoughts On California Mountain Lions


5 or 6 colts every year? Why don't they just kill the lion? Jordan valley is full of deer, I can understand a lion hanging out there, but not a horse killing lion and why does it only kill colts? How about some tasty fillie?

A horse killing lion in ranching country is gonna die real fast, especally with all the sheep hearding Basque people in that valley. I don't think I'd believe that story, to many holes in it.

Just thought I'd mention, I was born in Los Angeles back in 1943.
So....does that make me a bad person because I was born and lived in California most of my life?
A big problem with Oregon is ex-Californians with nasty attitudes, it's been that way for years.

Just my thoughts, not always right but I said what I had to say. Not trying to hurt anyones feelings.
 
billy-you can't hurt my feeling's..that's what he told me...i forgot there are stud & filly colt's..i'm not a horseman either...so perhap's i don't know the proper language & maybe you could offer the cattleman suggestion's on how to kill-open country lion's ?? i have no idea ?? maybe i was born yesterday...i can't prove a cattleman to be a liar yet...maybe i just can't prove it...then again i have never had a reason...maybe they do kill a few...i doubt very much he's going to tell anyone..
 
billy...i know what your saying about killing the lion...i think the point he was making was that there are lot's "o" lion's...i appreciate your being polite...no need to be sorry...maybe i'm a "tad" blunt...just tryin to make my point...i do know folk's can stretch thing's a bit...
