A Hunt for Wyoming PM members

I wish I could join ya guys! UNfortunately for me, I've got two "snags", one of them being my wife's b-day and the other is work(on call)!!
Hope to see some good pics. and hear some good stories. Maybe next time I can join in the fun!!

I need to work a couple things out but its looking good...Baggs works out better because theres good hunting on both sides of the border.

While that is on the table, Wyo residents need a tag to hunt Co! so, think ahead if you want to hunt sount of the border. They do sell one day permits, save ya quite a few bucks that way.

To recap all that is on the table:

Meet in baggs thursday night to eat/meet each other.
Have breakfast friday morn before sunup.
Dinner again Friday? And breakfast/dinner on Sat?

I will be staying in a motel if I bring my son. My tipi if it is just me and my brother.

I need to get a new battery for my camera! If you haven't noticed, I have had a lack of pics lately, and only get about two pictures per trip out of my camera. Hmmm....

lookin forward to this.

Elks, You still willing to let a weary traveller crash? I'm good with a slice of floor or even just a spot to pull up in my truck. Probably wouldn't be getting in 'till later on Friday night, around 10 ish? I'm coming all the way around from Fort Collins and can't get out of work before 5 or so. I'll try to make dinner friday, but will more likely hook up with everyone Sat. morning.

Looking forward to doing some stands with you guys. This weekend is another attempt at a problem Lion on some private property. Wish me luck....hope I don't get eaten!

CoCajun,

Sure thing I have permision for up to 4 guys here. So let me know. If you are coming my way from Ft. Collins you could save some serious time and miles coming through Walden to Steamboat and into Craig. It is all 2 lane Highway, and mountains, but it is alot shorter than I-80. I am sure Iwill have a couple others here and we will not crash until after 10ish.

PM me to let me know for sure.

I'am going to try and make it. All depends on if I have to work Friday Night.. If not I'll be there around noon friday

I would love to join you as well.

Maybe the next outing. The left arm stays in a sling for four more weeks and I am still taking percocet. I realize that it is not stated on the prescription bottle but I think it is safe to assume that predator hunting under the influence of a narcotic pain killer is considered unsafe. Maybe I am doing too much independent thinking here.

Good luck everybody!

Here is how it is going to work out for me. I work two to three nights a year, and wouldn't you know it, Thursday is one of those nights. I would like to try and make it to Baggs for breakfast on Friday morning, just to have a chance to meet and greet everyone. Let me know when you plan to convene as it is about an hour and fifteen minute drive to Baggs for me. I would also like to join the group Friday night for dinner if that is the plan. I have another committment on Saturday that I cannot get out of, but plan on hunting on Sunday again. Right now it looks like I am going to be solo on Friday and would be interested in a partner if someone else is looking. Maybe we can work that out on Friday? Looking forward to this. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

I'm going to tell the guys at drifters that we will have twenty, though the count right now is slightly lower than that. Thursday night @ 7:30 for dinner there. Dan

Does anyone that is coming have an FX3, Bandit, or WT caller? I would like to hunt over one sometime.

Well I will see you all on Thrusday night. I have room for one or 2 more here if anyone is interested. This weekend went fishing, can't tell you how the hunting was.

Going to give it a shot 7:30 Drifters. I ,same as elks, did not hunt this weekend kind of givin them critters a break. But look out this weekend.

Frank

CoCajun,

Why don't you just stay home and forget all this stuff.
Hunting in the open spaces for the wily coyote in beautiful wyoming.
Wouldn't you rather be in the south w/no hunting signs everywhere ,brush so thick you cant see 20'?< Probably "NOT".Best of luck to all you guys! Mike
