I have a friend who's experience runs right along with that of Marco. He owns two of the rifles, one magazine fed and one barrel length tube fed, and he was exstatic when Centruian started making ammo for the rifle again. Until he shot some of the ammunition. It went bang every time but the bullets went numerous directions when they exited the barrel and it was very inaccurate in both of his rifles. He was so worried about it that he finally shot a few of his stash of old Remington ammo just to satisfy himself that the guns weren't at fault.
Now he has bought a CF conversion for one of the rifles which includes a new CF bolt head, dies, brass, etc. which he said were very "spendy" to acquire.

I did not buy it to shoot up the country side. I bought it because it a 5mm Rem!
The Aguila ammo being made now should suffice for my uses. Plus, I could see other manufactures producing ammo again in the near future. I wouldn't be overly surprised to see more manufactures producing new firearms in 5mm Rem. Taurus had a tracker for a while, but ammo available of course killed that.
I did not buy it to shoot up the country side. I bought it because it a 5mm Rem!

Seems that there's always someone who has to come along an Po-Po whatever new firearm a person gets.
For that price,,,, I say shoot it and enjoy.
At the very worse, ya might end up doing the centerfire conversion. Which I understand, really turns em into a shooter.
Yea, brass and dies are expensive, but tell me anything that's worth doing any more that isn't.
Enjoy the new rifle, but take out an insurance policy on the clip (er magazine ;>) ) if ya take it into the field.

I AM looking forward to this rifle. Show me another one for the price! It will shoot well enough for my intended purpose, which is OWNING A 5MM REMINGTON RIMFIRE MAGNUM!!
Thanks for the group pics, I'd expect about the same accuracy. The Aguila/Centurion stuff should do just fine.

LOL. Sorry if my comments riled any of the more rabid troops here. All I was saying with my comments is that I know a friend who had to buy the CF conversion to get one of his rifles to shoot worth a hoot versus using the current one choice for factory ammo.

I guess since you didn't enjoy the cartridge I guess you think it should be abolished on everyones behalf. 'Cause the world would be better off without it.

wise? there is no way to spend money wisely, unless your making more money off it! with that said, i p/u ed a savage 22mag yesterday,did i need it? nope! will it make me a better coyote hunter? don't think so! did i want it? yep! did i buy it?your darn right i did, and happy as heck about it, enjoy! and yes dad you were right! i am afraid it will burn a hole in my pocket

I have owned both a 591M and a 592M, still have the 592. I have been around this cartridge since 1978 and it still impresses me with the way it performs on varmints. While I wouldn't choose any rimfire for hunting coyotes, it would definately be my choice over my HMR or 22mag, if that was all I had to use.

I have owned a 591m since about 1970, or so. Very accurate with the factory ammo. It does have a Weaver 6x on it, by the way.
I have not used the Agulia ammo yet, but I intend to. I currently have 199 rounds of original ammo left.
IThe rifle has killed a lot of stuff over the decades and is now my main fall turkey gun.
