A Little Snake Bite

Finally had to take a break from all the orders to work on something for myself. I've been workiing on this for a while. This is actual Montana Prairie Rattlesnake skin cast in homebrew acrylic with a black acrylic insert.

Here's better pics. There are closer to the actual colors of the skin.

Now that's being innovative! It turned out great. There's room in my collection for that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Killer call Brian! That's a wild idea and executed perfectly. Did the acrylic have any adverse effects on the hide while you were pouring it? Did you have to make a mold or did you pour and then turn? That thing is slick! The pics are going into my favorite/inspirational calls folder. Great work.

That really takes call making to another level.

Very innovative, we had discussed using rattlesnake skins in calls a few weeks ago and here you go impressing us with a great idea using true craftsmanship. That is a real point of pride. Thanks Oh do you need my mailing address. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Wow! Is right, that is outstsanding!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif

That call is OUTSTANDING! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif

Yrs ago, one of my Bro's had a paratrooper belt buckle with a scorpion insert in amber glass, was a beaut. Your call reminded me of it.

Before too many of you get on the list. These calls are going to be around $100 a piece. As it stands right now, the call pictured would cost ya about $800, since it's the first 1 I have made. The materials and equipment are fairly expensive.

Yes it does and I already have some others waiting to be turned and even more ready to be cast.

Fosteology, the price of the call comment is reflecting what this little experiment has cost me so far for materials and equipment.
