A Thread on Dope Sheets

Okay guys, pics are always great.

How are you guys constructing your dope sheets (ballistic info as it relates to distance/wind) and attaching them on to your rifle? I have a few small ones I made for the underside of my flip caps on my AR and they work well. What type of paper and tape do you find to hold up the best on the side of your stock?

I need to contruct a few of these cards for some of my rifles. Roll out the info........

In the field I use a free app called Strelok, it has put me on steel(12")and varmint sized targets as far as 550yds. We'll see how it does out to 600+ next week. There are a few companies that offer BRC (ballistic reticle calculator) programs. The one I have is from Hawke and is somewhat proprietary to their reticles, I still need to print out a scope cap chart.

Great app...just tried it out. Can't wait to use it in the field.

I used a label maker that I got from office max. It prints out black letters or numbers on white sticky tape. Just peal and stick onto the stock. Nothing fancy but was easy to do.

That's what I've done. Used paper from a brown bag to help it blend in a little.

I take a Sharpie marker and write it right on the side of my McMillan stock. If you want it off, use acetone and it's gone. Doesn't hurt the gel coat and is right there when you need it. Simple and effective.

I used Biggameinfo.com, I put in all my ballistics data and make a drop chart, and then windage charts for 5-20 mph winds and copy and paste them into Microsoft Excel. Size it to fit where you wanna put it, then using packing tape I either laminate it and put inside my scope cap, or tape it to the side of my butt stock like this on my .204 Savage M12.
