Great price since in my online searching for over a month on NV sites for that specific one they are closer to $4700, @ 4k Id get one fast. The 1st thing is you will want IRs for them @ $200 ea for the good ones.

Well guys I got my D760 today. UPS guy had me sweating since he didn't show up until 7:15 but then I just had to wait until it got dark anyway so it worked out good. I can't describe how well I am pleased with it. I am happy with my decision to get the 6x too. I am very impressed with the mildot reticle and the way you can adjust the brightness on it. I was expecting the reticle to go top to bottom through the view but I think it is just perfect the way it is.
I took a picture trying to hold the scope in one hand and my cell phone in the other and it came out a little fuzzy and does not by any means depict how good it was looking through the scope but I'll post it anyway to show how bright it is.
stop sign on the left is 200 yards and stop sign on the right is 187 yards.
get a coyote target or decoy and put it at known ranges and work the reticle for ranging, thats what I did to figure that 410 judging distance at night is hard but using the mill dot will help a good bit it just takes practice
^^^whip a coyote target out of plywood if you have some, they make great targets and last years.
This one has a brown cardboard overlay painted white so I can see the holes at 200-400yds and my custom drawing of said menacing looking coyote.
Its what I will be using to sight my D740 in on
I pulled my Aimpoint and quick mount off my Colt and put the 760 on with the LaRue mount.
I bore sighted it at 32 yards with the laser bore sighter and first shot was 2" off bullseye at 2'oclock. I then tuned it to 12 o'clock and an about 3/4" high. then I moved the target to 75 yards which was the furthest I could shoot where I was and it was about 4" high at 75.
I moved it down to about 1 3/4" high at 75 yards and that's where I left it until I can shoot it longer distance. I want a 200 to 225 yard zero and will have to figure out the mildot from there. it was so wet and muddy in the corn stubble field behind the target that the owner didn't want me walking out in it to set and check the target so I had to take what I could get and shoot in his back yard.
I like the idea of a silhouette target to gage the range. just have to wait for it to dry up a little first. I may be an inch or so off now but I wouldn't be afraid to take a shot with it the way it is. all I can do is miss right?
