Absolut Vodka-absolutely ridiculous!!!

MNYOYE If you take a look at the ATF web site you will see that you are NOT alowed to "distill".

http://www.atf.gov/alcohol/info/faq/genalcohol.htm#g1

It clearly states this in the first sentence, UNLESS you want to fill out the proper paperwork, And are willing to meet all of there requirements YOU will be IN violation.

A FINE OF UP TO 10,000$ or 5 years in jail.

You are allowed to "brew" wine or beer if used for personal consumption, But even then YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED to trade with it or sell it.

It all comes down to TAXES, the goverment wants is "cut".

Darn it!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif No corn squeezin's for us, I reckon!! Them thar dang revenuers sure no how to spoil a party!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif Beer ain't so bad after all... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

According to the faux news network, Absolut Vodka has apoligized for that ad.
Now we can all go back to important subjects. Well, maybe.

I pretty much given up drinking. However I about 45 minutes from Franklin County, Virginia. The "Moonshine Capital of the world" as it is called. It may be illegal but it still flows free in this area.

There was, and it may have changed, a provision to make up to a certain amoung of shine for personal consumption.

Ill stick with my shiner bock. Good ol Texas brewed dark beer. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

If it wasn't for the fact that I really enjoy California wines I would say lets negotiate and just give California back.

Oops, there goes my employer!

Don't forget about NAFTA!!! We can still give California back and still get the wine without paying tariffs on it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
