They've been around for a few years. The company used to be called Ares Defense. You can also just buy the lower half and bolt carrier for about $500 and use an AR upper you already have (you will need a bolt). Which is what I have done.

And I've also been looking at the Henry long ranger in 223, any experience with them? Good bad?

The Henry looks like a nice rifle. That might be a good way to go. I'd choose it over a mini any day.

It uses standard uppers and magazines. Mine currently has the upper from a Mossberg MMR Hunter on it. I don't know why you couldn't use a .204 upper.

So the scr are on the restricted list due to it accepting an ar mag. I'm seriously going too look at the Henry long ranger in 223.

In addition to the Long Ranger you should check out the Browning BLR.
